The first stage of the MTX-RC features a satin-plated brass body enhanced with heat-exchanging ribs to optimize thermal performance, ensuring reliability in cold water by preventing ice build-up. An innovative over-moulded first-stage endcap and an environmental diaphragm add further protection against freezing and physical impacts. Additionally, the unique over-balanced diaphragm design allows for superior performance at depth by increasing the medium pressure gas faster than ambient pressure, which significantly enhances the breathing comfort for the diver as they descend.

The second stage includes user-friendly controls such as a venturi lever and an oversized breathing effort adjuster, which are especially useful in harsh conditions where the diver might be wearing thick gloves.
